A static image rendering unit (351a) renders a static image in which a plurality of higher-order items is arranged. A management unit (353) manages respective detection ranges corresponding to each of the higher-order items. An acquisition unit (352) sequentially acquires cursor positions. When an acquired operation position is within any of the detection ranges, a dynamic image rendering unit (351b) renders, in the vicinity of the static image, a dynamic image in which is arranged a plurality of lower-order items which is associated with the higher-order item. When the dynamic image is rendered, a confirmation unit (354) confirms, in response to a click operation which specifies any of the lower-order items, the selection of the specified lower-order item. On the basis of the movement direction of the cursor and the direction of the dynamic image with respect to the static image, the management unit (353) extends the detection range which corresponds to the current cursor position so as to cover some of the adjacent higher-order items. |
