The invention concerns a feed arrangement 1 permitting selective use of the machine combination according to Fig. 1. The combination comprises a device 2 known per se for winching, measuring, moving and cutting of tree trunks, and a chipping device 3, which devices are coupled alongside each other and can be turned from one side to the other. The feed arrangement 1 according to the invention moves sideways between the cutting device 2 and the chipping device 3 and feeds tree trunks into these alternately. The invention thus permits selective processing of tree trunks. <IMAGE>
