PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power and reduce noise by making a power management controller control the operations of fins which create currents of air for suppressing temperature increases in the various units of an image forming device. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with the optical unit 2 for optically reading the image of an original document G, the photoreceptive unit, including an electrifier 4 which electrifies a photoreceptor 1, for forming a latent image onto the photoreceptor 1, the developing unit 6 for developing the latent image into a toner image, a transfer means 7 for transferring the toner image onto a transfer material P, the fixing unit 10 for fusion-bonding the toner image transferred onto the transfer material P, and the power source unit 50 for supplying power to each unit. In this case, the units are provided with corresponding fans, 51, 52, 53, 54, and 55, and they are provided with the power management controller 60 by which cooling and air flow by each from is controlled. |
