PURPOSE: To provide an electrostatic photographic system provided with a photodetection belt which has a coded recording pattern on its surface and has its position accurately detected for the purpose of image recording. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a photodetecting member, an imaging means for forming at least one image on the surface of the photodetecting member, a means for forming at least coded recording pattern 10 or 12, detecting means 32 and 34 which are arrayed periodically with the coded patterns 10 and 12 as the member move in the direction 16 of a process and fixed at such positions that output electric signals by the detection of the coded patterns 10 and 12 passing below them are generated by capacity coupling, and a circuit means which generates the output recording signals when the coded recording patterns 10 and 12 are arrayed accurately with recording patterns 32A and 34B of the detecting means 32 and 34. |
