PURPOSE: To provide a connector capable of connecting a hard disk drive to a personal computer designed to use a memory card as an external storage medium. CONSTITUTION: The housing 4 of a card type connector 2 is designed so as to substantially have the same outer shape dimension as a standardized memory card. By inserting the housing 4 into the memory card connector 22 of a personal computer 200, the personal computer 200 and a hard disk drive 210 are connected via a cable 36 extended from the housing 4 of the card type connector 2 so as to send and receive data between the same.
