A valve, particularly suitable for dispensing beer, comprises a valve member 5 which is axially movable in relation to a seat 4 formed between an inlet 2 and an outlet 3, a valve stem 6 which passes through a bushing 7 and is acted upon by a spring 12 tending to maintain the valve member seated, and a valve operating lever 19 whose inner end engages a stem bore 22 and which has a fulcrum notch 21 designed to pivot on the lower end of a lateral housing slot 20, the lever being retained in operative relation to the housing and stem by means of a cap 16 screw-threaded on to the housing, which cap, when removed, also serves to facilitate the withdrawal from the valve body 1 of all the valve component parts, including the lever.</p> |
