A slider for a sliding clasp fastener integrally formed from a plastics material is provided with a flexible yoke 14 attached at one end 32 to the upper plate, and whose other free end 15 is formed into a locking tooth which projects through the upper plate, the slider being formed with holes or recesses 33 by means of which a puller 37 with corresponding lugs on. the end 36 may be inserted. The yoke 14 is shaped to be thinnest at its central part so that minimum bending occurs at the point of attachment and the ratio of these cross-sections respetively is preferably about 1:3. A further means of attachment of the puller is given in another embodiment such that lugs on the puller are housed in recesses on the slider when the slider is conveniently moulded round it by automatic injection moulding (Figs. 7, 8, not shown). |
