Electronic borehole inclinometer with signal - conversion system

Electronic borehole inclinometer provides continuous signal for easy conversion and enables nonmagnetic transducers to be used in the hole. The inserted part has phase transducers to indicate electric drill position and angle and has in circuit with these a phase splitter, connected to the drill power mains. The splitter controls a stepping switch which selects transducer output signals on a time basis and feeds these to a surface decoder via a converter which forms coded HF signals from the low frequency switch output. The HF carrier generator is connected to two modulators between the splitter and the transducers and circuited with these, the generator also switched to de-modulators which lie partly between the output of each transducer and the input of the stepping switch so that the demodulators can be used to demodulate the transducer signals in synchronism.
