发明名称 Einrichtung zum Anbringen eines selbstklebenden, papierblattartigen Materials an einem Etikett oder Preisschild
摘要 1,194,038. Attaching adhesive strip material to labels. MINNESOTA MINING & MFG. CO. 26 Sept., 1967 [27 Sept., 1966], No. 43840/67. Heading B5N. A machine comprises means for mounting a supply of pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet material having a liner adhered to one side thereof, means for supporting a label while the exposed adhesive side of the sheet material is adhered thereto, and means for stripping the liner from the sheet material adhered to the label. As shown, adhesive tape with a release liner adhered to one side is drawn from a roll 46 and passes via a roll 44 to a roller 22, the exposed adhesive side of the tape being uppermost. Between roller 22 and a gravity-biased gate 58, the tape contacts and adheres to the bottom label of a stack S of labels, the motion of the tape drawing this label from right to left between roller 22 and gate 58 whilst a strip of adhesive tape is secured right across the back of the label. The label slides on two spaced parallel rails 20, between which a roller 28 is located. The release liner L follows the contour of this roller 28 and leaves the adhesive tape secured to the label. On leaving roller 28, the separated liner is drawn, via a roll 80, between two meshing toothed wheels 70 and 76, the former being driven by an electric motor 66. When the label, to which the tape has been applied, clears roller 22, a second label contacts the adhesive tape and is moved along rails 20, behind and abutting the first label. On further movement, the first label throws a lever 86 to operate a switch 84, which in turn stops the driving motor 66 and causes a solenoid 88 to urge a holding pad 90 against the second label. The first label can now be removed from the machine and the tape between it and the firmly-held second label torn. On removing the first label, the lever 86 springs back to restart the machine. The label stack S is held substantially clear of rails 20 by an adjustable wedge 64 to reduce friction between the bottom label and the rails. A second gravity biased member 62 bears on the top of the stack. The lateral position of the stack with respect to the tape can be adjusted by adjustable stackguiding plates 56. The rollers 22 and 28 are mounted in a frame 24, which is pivotably mounted at 26 to a stationary part of the machine. The frame may be pivoted from its operative position to the dotted-line position shown to facilitate initial threading of the tape through the machine.
