PURPOSE:To obtain a refractory for lining a ladle, having a low thermal conductivity and capable of improving slag permeation and corrosion resistances, thereby enhancing the durability and further reducing the heat loss of molten steel in the ladle. CONSTITUTION:This refractory for lining a ladle is an alumina spinel-based refractory, contains 2.5-7.5wt.% hollow grains having 0.3-3mm grain diameter and 24-50wt.% spinel grains in the refractory and has <=2.0kcal/m.hr. deg.C thermal conductivity. |
