<p>1301536 Cutting plastic blocks CALSILOX SA 23 June 1970 [26 June 1969] 30523/70 Heading B5A A block of plastic material, e.g. concrete, is cut by a number of wires tensioned between clamping members located above and below the block which is carried by means engaging opposite sides thereof. A block 1 on the bottom 2 of a casting mould is located with its one end adjacent cutting wires 3 in a frame 4 and is then seized between jaws 9, 10 of a gripper mechanism which is then raised slightly and moved relative the cutter wires to deposit the cut block on to a grid 15. In the embodiment of Fig. 3 a block 21 is gripped between grooved jaws 29 of a frame 31, operated by jacks 32, the frame 31 carries a cutting frame 23, 25, 26, and when the block has been clamped and lifted slightly from a support 22 the cutting frame is driven in the direction of arrow 33 relative the frame 31 by driven screw-threaded spindles 17 engaging nuts on the cutting frame. In a further embodiment a cutting frame is moved parallel to opposed clamping jaws.</p> |
