A building set for track for model railways comprises thermoplastics injection moulded elements. Some are rail elements; others have on one face 20 primary coupling studs 21 spaced equally in lengthwise and transverse directions. These frictionally engage either secondary studs (23) on the opposite face (23) of another such element, spaced so that a secondary stud fits between four primary studs, or locating studs 14 equally spaced inside a recess 13 along the bottom of a rail element 10 which has a rail-forming rib 11 along the top which may be grooved to hold a wheel. The elements can be pressed together to engage the studs. The rails may be straight, curved, intersecting, or be sloping (Fig. 13) and made up of elements each having the bottom face provided at each end with an obtusely inclined face 17, and the end faces 18 forming an obtuse angle with the upper face 11a. |
