A chain swivel comprises two relatively rotatable parts 1, 2, of which the chain retaining part 1 has a bore coaxial with the axis of relative rotation, through which bore a chain may extend and be secured. The part 1 comprises tubular parts 3, 4 welded together, the part 3 having side openings 6 and bore restrictions 5 which enable the chain to be secured in the bore. A portion 9 of part 3 bears in a sleeve 7 of the part 1 and is axially located therein by a flange 11 and a ring 13, with a thrust bearing 10 between the flange 11 and the sleeve 7. A U-shaped member 8 is welded to the sleeve 7. |
