[Also in Divisions C3 and G2] Photographic receiving sheets (see Division G2-G3) comprise a flexible support bearing in order (1) a polymeric acid layer, (2) a polyvinyl or polyvinylidene amide layer, and (3) a dyeable layer. Preferably the support is baryta paper sub-coated with cellulose nitrate, (1) is a partial butyl ester of copoly (maleic anhydride/ethylene, (2) is a polymer or copolymer containing units of formula: -[CH 2 -C(A)(R)]- (in which A is H or CH 3 , and R is -N(R 1 )-COR 2 or -CO-N(R 1 )(R 2 ), R 1 and R 2 being H or substituents), and (3) is a mixture of polyvinyl alcohol and polyvinyl pyridine. Alternative supports are cellulose derivatives, aluminum, vinyl chloride polymers, polyvinyl acetal, polyamides and polyesters. |
