Scaly lustrous crystals of a 1,2.4-triazole of formula in which R1 is H, CH3, C6H5 or NH2, R2 is H, CH3 C6H5, NH2, SH, COOHM or OH, R3 is H, C6H5 or NH2 and R4 is H, CH3, C6H5, NH2 COOH or OH. The crystals of e.g. urazole (3.5-diamino 1.2.4-triazole) guanazine (3.4.5-triamine 1.2.4-triazole) and 5-phenyl 3-hydroxy 1.2.4-triazole, have a maximum length of 5 to 100 u and a thickness of 500 to 1000A. They are useful additives for certain food stuffs, soft drinks and cosmetics as well as coatings for synthetic resins for toys, packaging etc. |
