<p>Hydrazine is continuously prepd. by treating a diazocyclopropane or a hydrazone by liquid/liquid extraction with (a) an aqs. hydrolysing agent and (b) a non-aqs. solvent for the carbonyl by product. Spec. (a) is an alkali esp. NaOH and (b) is an aromatic hydrocarbon, esp. benzene and toluene; the carbonyl byproduct is acetone. The hydrazine can be sepd. from the aqs. phase.</p> |
