[Also in Divisions B8, F1 and F2] A valve body 13 with a passageway 16 containing an annular valve seat 19 has a detachable sleeve 22 coaxial with the passageway mounted thereon. A valve member 27 is releasably located in the sleeve 22 by retainers 26 with openings therebetween which permit the passage of fluid under pressure past the valve member into the passageway 16. The valve member 27 is movable from the retainers 26 into the passageway to form an openable seal with the valve seat 19. Fluid to blow mould a thermoplastics container from a parison clamped by the mould halves 10 and 11 to the valve body 13 is introduced through a tube 38 with lateral outlets 41 past the valve member 27 located in the retainers 26. The completed container may then be filled with fluid to be dispensed through the tube 38.</p> |
