Centrifugal separating pump performing a dual function consisting of an elongated cylindrical stationary pressure housing serving as the centrifugal drum in which the centrifuge wheel is fitted to the intake wall with a circumferential discharge for the concentrate and another outflow near the rotational axis of the wheel for the clear carrier fluid. The pumps can perform the function of simultaneous separator and transporting medium for solid liquid suspensions taking over to a large extent the work of filters etc. It also exhibits very little wear compared with the conventional pumps used for solid-liquid suspensions, and is also adaptable for totally immersed pumping applications. |
