[Also in Division F2] In a press including a carriage 3 slidably guided on a frame 2 by tenons 5 sliding in slots 4 and by rack-and-pinion systems 6, 7, an electric or hydraulic motor 9 is mounted on the press component carrying the pinions 7 and is drivingly connected to at least one of the pinions to move the carriage. If the motor 9 is electric, it drives the pinions 7 via a mechanical or hydraulic reduction or variable speed gear 11 and shafts 8. An hydraulic motor can be connected directly to the shafts 8. The frame 2 is movable on a base 1 by e.g. an hydraulic jack. |
