[Also in Divisions C3, C5 and F2] Oleophilic tin sulphide is made by grinding one or more tin-sulphides in an organic liquid which distils below 500‹ C., has a viscosity below 600 centistokes at 38‹ C. and a surface tension below 72 dynes/cm. at 25‹ C., in the absence of air until the surface area of the tin sulphide is 5-400 m.<SP>2</SP>/gm. (N 2 adsorption). The sulphide may be used in lubricating compositions and composites for bearings. |
