PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of fuel cell performance in long hour operation by forming porous recesses-projections having a width and a height of a prescribed length and having holes of the prescribed size at prescribed intervals on both surfaces of solid electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:In a solid electrolyte fuel cell where an air electrode is formed on one surface and a fuel electrode is formed on the other surface respectively by sandwiching solid electrolyte between them, porous recesses-projections 10 having a width and a height of 1 to 100mum and having holes of 0.01 to 1mum are formed at intervals of 0.1 to 10mum on both surfaces of a solid electrolyte plate 1. Preferably, anode metal is permeated in the porous recesses-projections 10. The porous recesses-projections having holes of 0.01 to 1mum on a surface exist over the whole surface on which electrodes are formed, and are formed on an electrolyte surface so that the interval is set within range of 0.1 to 100mum and the width and height are set within a range of 1 to 100mum. |
