1,224,008. Continuous casting. MASCHINENFABRIK HENNECKE G.m.b.H. 22 July, 1968 [27 July, 1967], No. 34963/68. Heading B5A. Elongated profiles of foron material e.g. polyurethane are produced by a continuous casting process using a mould cavity defined by two series of co-operating mould parts carried by opposed endless belts and a third series of mould parts movable laterally of the mould cavity. Three series of mould parts 7, 8 and 26, Figs. 1 and 3, are used, the parts 26 being carried by a side conveyer and or being spring biased against a guide 28 which diverges where the mould is to open. A core formed by a cord 15 provided with spacers 16 may be drawn through the mould cavity. The cavity may be lined by foils 12, 14 drawn off rolls 11 and 13 which foils may remain on the product and may for example be of paper, plastics, or metal. |
