The carboxysulphonic acid preferably has the general formula wherein R and R1, which may be the same or different, are each a hydrogen atom, a saturated or unsaturated, cyclic or acyclic aliphatic hydrocarbon radical having up to 12 carbon atoms and which is optionally substituted by at least one group selected from -COOH and -CN; or aromatic hydrocarbon radical which optionally contains an alkyl substituent having up to 12 carbon atoms; or R and R1 together form a saturated or unsaturated ring optionally substituted by at least one alkyl, anhydride or lactam group.
