[Also in Division C2) Pharmaceutical compositions, having salidiuretic activity and suitable for oral or rectal administration, contain as active ingredients, a novel pyrazinoylguanidine derivative of the formula: wherein X is halogen or trihalomethyl, m is I to 4 and n is 0 to 3 or an acid addition salt thereof, and, if desired, other diuretic agents such as those derived from benzothiadiazine or dihydrobenzothiadiazine. The above compounds may also be combined with any medicine which suffers from the disadvantage of causing an exaggerated elimination of potassium, especially those containing the cortiosteroids. |
