In a method of producing polyamide products, a pre-mixed lactam mixture is fed from a reservoir 73 into the cylinder 61 of a piston- and-cylinder type injection machine and warmed or melted therein by heaters 70, 71 and is finally forced by the piston 62 through a nozzle 69 into a heated mould 76, 77 where it is polymerized under pressure. Alternatively, after the pre-warming or melting the mixture is heated and polymerized in the cylinder and then forced by the piston into the mould where it sets under pressure.
