WASTE GASIFICATION MELTING FURNACE AND GASIFICATION MELTING METHOD OF WASTE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the maintaining of the temperature of a gas at a free board part at a specified high temperature area while the fluidization of a stack layer is kept better maintaining the melting of an ash component better at a lower part of the body of a furnace. SOLUTION: A vertical furnace in which the temperature of a gas at a free board part 1a can be maintained at a high temperature area exceeding 1,000 deg.C has a feeding port 2 for wastes and a carbon-based auxiliary fuel at an upper part of the body 1 of the furnace and a tuyere at the side part of the body 1 of the furnace to let a gas containing oxygen be blown thereinto. Wastes are decomposed by heat to generate a combustible gas while ash components and incombustibles in the wastes are melted. An upper stage tuyere 3 is provided at a level above the top surface of a stack layer 50 formed by the wastes fed and the carbon based auxiliary fuel, a middle stage tuyere 4 at a level equivalent to the top part of the stack layer 5 and a lower stage tuyere 5 at a level equivalent to the lower part of the stack layer 50.
