Apparatus for turning-over workpieces, e.g. to form a stack of stampings from a press, comprises a support 10 for a body 36 carrying a shaft 70 on which is mounted a work-gripper 96, a slide-guide 54 extending through the body 36 and supporting a slide 62 which carries a toothed rack 64 and is moved by a pneumatic &c. cylinder 56, and a pinion 74 on the shaft 70 meshing with the rack, movement of the rack being limited to produce 180 degrees of rotation of the gripper-shaft 70.
