(Co)polymers of conjugated dienes or mixtures of these with aromatic vinyl hydrocarbons, are made by polymerising the monomer(s) with an alfin catalyst in the presence of one or more 1,2-diolefins as mol.wt. regulator. Polymer is pref. of 1,3-butadienes, isoprene or piperylene, with small amounts of a 1,2-diolefin e.g. 1,2-butadiene.
