Paint and coating materials - based on graft co-polymers of ethylene-propylene terpolymer and ethylenic unsatd monomers

Coating materials consists of co-polymers of ethylene >=1 other simple unsat. alpha-olefin (A) and >=1 non-conjugated bi- or poly-cyclic polyene (B), on which is grafted >=1 ethylene unsat cpd (c) (A) is pref. propylene and (B) is dicyclopentadiene, ethylidene norbornene or 6-methyl 1,4,5,8,9,10-hexahydro methano-naphthalene. (C) is pref. styrene or methyl methacrylate. Setting and hardening times of the coatings are greatly reduced, while the good age-resistance of the EPDM terpolymer is retained.
