Cpds. have formula (I): (where n is 2 or 3; A11 is substd. or unsubstd. carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring of 5 or 6 atoms; B is amino-substd.-1-8C straight or branched aliphatic side chain; the benzene ring may opt. be further substd.) and may be prepd. e.g. (1) by reducing an appropriate cyano or cyanoalkyl substd. cpd., followed by alkylation or acylation of the resulting aminoalkyl gp. where desired or (2) by reacting an approrpirate haloalkyl substd. cpd. with an appropriate amine.
