The invention relates to a composting method comprising the steps of: i) mixing cellulose-containing (cellulosic) material with manure; ii) dewatering the mixture; and iii) aerobically composting the dewatered mixture to produce compost water abstracted from the mixture preferably being mixed with fresh cellulose-containing material, and to the compost obtained.
