Case for pens, pencils or cigarettes - has socketed stand held in upright position when case is fully open

The case has two covers (11, 12) which are separately hinged to a central block (13). This central block (13) is provided with rows of holes suitable for pens, pencils, or cigarettes (14). The lower corners of the block (13) are rounded with the centres of curvature coinciding with the axes of the hinge pins (15, 16). This allows each cover to swing through 90 deg. from the closed position but any further movement is prevented by the inside of the cover abutting against the flat undersurface of the block (13). Thus when the case is fully open the block (13) remains in the upright position so that the objects (14) are easily accessible.
