The keyboard contains longitudinally and transversely slidable components in one plane, which switch contact spring sets under push-button actuation. The contacts (5) used for coding are actuated by identical column (3') and row sliders (3) which are associated to the corresponding push-buttons rows and columns. The sliders are operated by plungers (6) mounted at the crosspoint on the push-button (2). Each plunger has two oblique slide surfaces (9). Each such surface acts upon a counter surface (13) on each slider at the crosspoint (12). Preferably the column sliders actuate a common contact (5') via a mechanical transmission lever (16).
