The transportable chemical toilet has and outer housing (2) and pan (6) of the same corrosion resistant materila. The housing encompasses a chamber (26) for storing chemical sterilising liquids which can be discharged into the pan. A further chamber (28) forms the cylinder of a double piston rectangular arrangement whose height is limited so that only a small amount of liq is necessary to cover it. The cylinder is connected by six outlets (36) and a further outlet (38) via flexible lines (40) with a circular outlet at the top of the pan. The discharge hole (18) for the pan is sealed by a flamp (20) operated by a foot pedal (46) which also operates the plumbing system.
