The assembly is a low pressure system and on the sunlit side, the channel walls are pref. limited to 1.5 plus-or-minus 0.5 mm thickness and compensates for the poor thermal conductivity of the elastomer. The elastomer is pref. fully saturated, and to contains is not >5 mol % of unsatd. elements in the polymer chain. The rubber base for the elastomer is pref. an ethylene and propylene copolymer. The elastomer is less corrodible than metal, and less affected by temperature changes than metal or hard plastic.
