PURPOSE: To diagnose a Alzheimer's disease of a human patient by measuring the quantity of p33 in a biological sample of the human patient to be compared with a reference sample from the patient. CONSTITUTION: The quantity of p33 existing in a biological sample derived from a patient is compared with the quantity of p33 existing in a reference sample of the same type as lumbar cerebrospinal fluid(CSF) from an unattacked human sapiens. If the relative level of p33 in the patient sample is higher than the level in a reference sample by 50%, preferably 150% and most preferably 30%, the diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease is suggested. The measurement of p33 level uses immuno assay which enables detection of coupling between antibodie and p33, and the coupling mount is determined by analyzing a light emitting mark of the antibodies to be coupled. At this time, as the lumbor CSF can be analyzed by a sample obtained from the survivor patient, it is useful. As an antibody, an antibody peculiar to coupling to p33, that is, C2 fragments of annexin [phonetic] V, amyloid precursor protein are useful, and an antibody 4431 and TC2 are especially useful. |
