<p>The substrate is made up of a layer from 0.13 to 0.76 mm in thickness of nonwoven glass fibres from 5 to 15 microns in diameter, assembled by a conventional synthetic adhesive. A continuous layer of vinyl resin covers one or both faces of the fibre layer and impregnates the latter. The whole is particularly smooth and has thickness and weight variations which are small or nil over its whole surface. The substrate is employed for the production of floor coverings, comprising a decorative resilient vinyl layer bonded to the layer or one of the layers of resin of the substrate.</p> |
