PURPOSE:To obtain an oscillation chip which is oscillated at a comparatively high frequency, is easy for support and conduction, and is improved in impact resistance, by forming two oscillating arms through the provision of a slender hole at the lengthwise center of a rectangular quartz thin plate. CONSTITUTION:An oscillating arm 3 is formed by providing a long hole 5 at the lengthwise direction of a quartz rectangular thin plate, and electrodes are provided at bases 4, 4' and the oscillating arm 3 to achieve bending oscillation toward the arrow (b) symmetrical to the center line (b) for the arm 3. Both the ends of this bending oscillation chip can be regarded as fixed, and even if the oscillating arm width (w) and the length (l) are equal, oscillation several times that of a tuning fork type oscillation chip fixed at one end fix and free at another end, can be made, and high-frequency application can be made without shortening the length (l) of oscillating arm. |
