The invention concerns an arrangement for a mixer of such type as consists of a mixing vessel 1, foot stand 2, drive assembly and agitator, and having an access opening. To prevent formation of dust and to accomplish a soundproofing, the access opening can be closed by means of a lid, a cover, or the like, in the form of a rubber mat 10.
