PURPOSE:To produce L-lysine, economically in an industrial scale, by culturing L-lysine-producing bacteria belonging to Corynebacterium genus or Brevibacterium genus and resistant to two or more antibiotics. CONSTITUTION:L-Lysine is separated from the culture liquid obtained by the aerobic cultivation of (A) an L-lysine-producing strain belonging to Corynebacterium genus or Brevibacterium genus and resistant to two or more antibiotics such as streptomycin, dihydrostreptomycin, rifampicin, spiramycin, penicillin G, etc., or (B) an L-lysine-producing hybridized strain obtained by the inter- or intra-genus protoplast fusion using microorganisms belonging to Corynebacterium genus or Brevibacterium genus as parent strain, or (C) said L-lysine- producing hybridized strain resistant to two or more antibiotics. |
