PURPOSE:To enable fluid flow to be controlled in response to temperature by forming blades by a metal material having a shape memory effect to vary the shape of the blade in response to fluid temperature. CONSTITUTION:Cu-Al-Ni alloys and the like have about 40 deg.C of martensite transformation temperature. Blades are cut out of a plate of these alloys and subjected to torsion working under about 15 deg.C room temperature to form a sheet of blade 2 which is secured fixedly to an end of a shaft 5. The other end of the shaft 5 is mounted on a motor to rotate in an oil bath while the temperature of the oil bath is raised from the room temperature of about 15 deg.C. As a result, when the temperature of the oil bath rises to about 50 deg.C, the blade returns to the initial shape to reverse the torsion shape so that the oil flow is reversed to vary the fluid flow with the temperature of the fluid. |
