A device suitable for guiding a cable or pipe emerging from an aperture in the deck of a sea-going vessel comprises a body 10, generally J-shaped with the longer leg mounted on the deck by means of a flange 14 and a spigot 18, whereby the body 10 is inverted in use and the free end 24 of the shorter leg faces the deck in use. The body 10 defines a through duct communicating between the aperture in the deck and the free end 24, the body 10 from the deck. The body 10 whereby the cable can emerge through may be made of metal, plastics or wood and be provided a rubber or plastics gasket 17. The device generally prevents water from entering through the deck aperture but permits the cable to be easily removed or installed. <IMAGE> |
