PURPOSE:To facilitate floating and moving of an ocean structure, by a method wherein a foundation bottom body, which can be dumped, is removably coupled through a coupling mechanism to the under surface of a gravity type ocean structure. CONSTITUTION:A foundation bottom body 2 is made of a material which can be dumped, and a frame 2a is formed to the peripheral part thereof so that a structure body 1 is prevented from slipping laterally. When it is installed as an oil excavating platform, the structure body 1 and the foundation bottom body 2 are tagged in a condition that they are coupled together by means of pins 4 and hooks 6, ballast water is poured in the body 1, and they are sunk and fastened under gravity on a sea bottom surface E. Thereafter, when the ocean structure is moved, the hook 6 is released from engagement with the pin 4 through rotation of the hook, the ballast water in the structure body 1 is drained to cause it to float up, and after a new foundation bottom body is attached thereto, a sinking and a fastening process are carried out in a similar manner as described above.
