<p>PURPOSE:To effectively purify sewage, by combining a water sprinkling filter bed and a water immersion filter bed both of which utilize KOKASEKI-rock lumps as a filter material in a stage connected in series and supplying warm air to said filter material to activate the action of the microorganism adhered to the filter material. CONSTITUTION:The titled filter bed is constituted of a water sprinkling filter bed 1 and a water immersion filter bed 2 utilizing KOKASEKI-rock lumps connected in series. The water sprinkling filter bed 1 is constituted by providing a net body 5 to the lower part thereof under tension while packing the interior thereof with KOKASEKI- rock lumps 6 and sewage is sprinkled to said filter bed 1 from a water sprinkler 4 above said filter bed 1 while warm air heated by a heater 3 is upwardly supplied to KOKASEKI-rock lumps 6 from an air passing pipe 7 provided to the bottom part of said filter bed 1. The water immersion filter bed 2 is constituted by arranging a plurality of net cages 8 receiving KOKASEKI-rock lumps 6 in parallel in a horizontal direction in a state immersed in water so as to change the same in an up-and-down direction by appropriately getting in and out the same by guides 9 and warm air heated by a heater is supplied to KOKASEKI-rock lumps 6 and water from the air diffusion pipe 10 provided to the bottom part of said filter bed 2.</p> |
