PURPOSE:To facilitate insertion of a single piece sheet, etc. into a paper feed device provided with tractor units in a printer or the like, by providing guides of a special shape on the inner side surfaces of opposed inside frames of the tractor units. CONSTITUTION:In a printer, tractor units 23 are provided at both end sections of a tractor unit support shaft 8 and a drive shaft 13 which extend in parallel with each other, and inner and outer frames 2, 3 positioned on both side of a pulley 14 on the drive shaft 13 hold a pin belt 15 which is rotated by the pulley 14. Further, there are provided a paper retainer 15 for covering over a paper fed by the pin belt 15 to prevent the paper from coming off, and so forth. In this arrangement, a paper guide 25 having such a shape that the lower end of its front end which is opposed to a platen 11 extends in the vicinity of the lower end of the platen 11 is attached to the inner surface of each inside frame 24 opposed to the other unit 23, thereby insertion of a single piece paper, etc. may be facilitated. |
