PURPOSE:To easily process an arm without damaging its strength by a method in which flanges are connected to both edges of a web to form an arm and a boom in a nearly U-shaped form, and the flange of the same shape of bracket connected to the end of the flange of the arm is pivotally attached to the boom. CONSTITUTION:A boom 21 is divided at a bend into the first and second frames 22 and 23, and the boom 21, an arm 24, and a bracket 28 are shaped into a U-shaped cross sectional form by connecting flanges 26 to both edges of a web 25. Pin holes are formed in the flanges 26, 26 of the bracket 28, and pipes for pivotal support are fixed to the tips of the flanges 26 of the frame 23. The tip of the frame 23 is inserted into the bracket 28 welded to the cut tip portions of the flanges 26, 26 of the arm 24. a pin 32 is inserted into the pipes for pivotal support and the pin holes to pivotally connect the boom 21 and the bracket 28.
