Polyethylene terephthalate was dipped in Cr-H2So4 soln. at 80≦̸C, washed with distilled water, and then soaked in 30% NaOH soln. at 90≦̸C for 5 min. The film was dipped in the mixtures of 40g SnCl2.2H2O, 40ml conc. HCl and 1000ml distilled water for 30 sec. and electrolesslyplated in the plating bath of 4.75-19.0g/l CoCl2.6H2O, 2.1-26.5g/l NaH2PO2.H2O, 30.5-61.31g/l Na3C6H5O7.2H2O, 10.6-19.7g/l NH4Cl to give the Co-P magnetic film.
