The combine harvester (1) has a number of drIve shafts located in bearings in the harvester side, and accessible from outside the machine. Each bearing has a conventional temp. indicator strip attached to the bearing housing and can be monitored whenever required. The commerically available indicator strips are secured to the shaft housings where required. They can be fitted to any machine and require no complex temp. monitoring circuit in the cab. |
