This device comprises a jack 5, 6, 7 comprising two opposed piston rods 5, 6, a tie bar 10 articulated by its central part about a pin 17 on the central part of the body 7 of the jack, and two levers of triangular shape, the first 8 of which is articulated by its three apices, respectively, to the chassis 1 (pin 11), to the end of the rod 5 of the jack (pin 12) and to one end of the tie rod 10 (pin 13), the second lever being articulated by its three apices, respectively, to the platform 3 (pin 14), to the end of the second rod 6 of the jack (pin 15) and to the other end of the tie rod (pin 16). This device makes it possible to obtain very good demultiplication, especially during the initial raising phase of the platform, as well as a large tipping angle of the latter. <IMAGE>
