PURPOSE:To obtain a recording fluid which is excellent in moisture retention, delivery stability, and long-term storage stability and gives a distinct image with a high density by compounding a colorant, a liq. medium, and a specific additive. CONSTITUTION:This recording fluid contains a colorant, a liq. medium, and an additive comprising at least one urea deriv. selected from the group consisting of compds. of formulas: HOCH2C(CH2OH)2NHCONH(CH2)6NHCONHC (CH2OH)2CH2OH, HOCH2CH2NHCONH(CH2)6NHCONHCH2CH2OH, (HOCH2 CH2)2NCONH(CH2)6NHCONH2 CH2CH2OH, (CH2)6NHCON(CH2CH2OH)2, HOCH2C(CH3)2NHCONH(CH2)6NHCONHC(CH3)2CH2OH, HOCH2CH2OCH2CH2 CH2NHCONH-(CH2)6NHCONHCH2CH2OCH2CH2OH, and CH3CH2C(CH2OH)2 NHCONH(CH2)6 NHCONHC(CH2OH)2CH2CH3 and a compd. of the formula. |
